Afterward, we will provide you with a detailed estimate for your project. All free.
DESIGN
When you are interested in moving forward, we prepare a design packet for your kitchen or cabinetry project. The packet includes detailed cabinet and layout plans and high-quality renderings so you can envision the transformation of your space. A design fee applies to this stage of the process but doesn’t commit you to hiring us. When you do decide to move forward into a contract with us the design fee gets applied to the quoted job cost.
PREPARATION
When you are ready to make your project happen, you sign a contract and we schedule a start date! We are here to answer your questions and discuss all your choices of design, fixtures, and more. We connect you with high-quality local vendors to select materials such as countertops and tile.
FABRICATION
Our team crafts each of your cabinetry pieces with care in our local shop here in Catonsville, MD. We use the highest quality materials, hardware, and finishes to create a superior and lasting product. You’ll see the custom difference!
REMODEL
When the scheduled start date arrives, our craftsmen get to work turning your project into a reality. We work only on weekdays and make every effort to keep your home a clean and comfortable environment during the remodel. A typical kitchen remodel takes around three to four weeks, while a built-in or custom cabinetry piece typically takes one to two days to install.

Andersen Custom Kitchens just finished a month-long remodel of what started out as just the kitchen but spread to the entire first floor- all the surfaces connected. They took down my ugly textured ceilings throughout, put in new floors throughout, painted every wall, replaced every piece of molding, and of course gave me a wonderful, new kitchen. They were wonderful to work with from beginning to end.My favorite example of their work philosophy came one morning when I asked Matt if I could have a switch moved to the other side of the door. I thought it would be better and make his tiling job easier as the switch wouldn't have to be tiled around. He told me that his job was to get me the kitchen I wanted and my job was not to make his job easier. They were professional and respectful of our space and we are 100% satisfied.
Mark and his team did an excellent job on our kitchen remodel. It's been two years since it was completed and it's just like it was the day it was finished. We recently had a small jar upend in a drawer which resulted in us not being able to open it. We managed to get the drawer open but in the process unseated the drawer and were unable to get it correctly reinstalled. I emailed Mark and the next day he sent one of his team out and remounted the drawer for us, gratis. I can't recommend Mark and his team highly enough, they'll do a gret job for you and he remains responsive even after the work is completed.
We are so enjoying our new kitchen. The cabinets are beautiful, and your guidance during the planning process was really helpful. Everything was done with the utmost attention to detail and quality, and Matt and Matt were a total delight to have around.
From start to finish they were professional, easy to work with, and respectful. The job was done on time and came in under the original quote. Mark was great at answering our questions quickly during the planning process. That helped us stress less, even with all that needed to be decided. Mark also sent a very clear plan of when choices need to be made. Everyone who worked at the house was respectful of us. They worked very hard to not disrupt our lives as best they could with such a large job. End product was exactly what we asked and hoped for. The cabinets are very well built and custom to our space. Could not recommend them more.
During the month of October 2023 Andersen Woodworking completely redid our kitchen. They removed old cabinets, and cleared two walls to make the space more open. We are very pleased with the work they did and the final product we now enjoy. Here are some thing we found exceptional about working with them:1. They had an aggressive timeline and they stuck to their schedule. When we got a quote from them they said that they estimated it taking three week, and they took three weeks. This included all the work in the home.2. They came in on budget. The final cost of the kitchen was what they quoted us originally. The allowances for materials were reasonable and we were able to find exactly what we wanted. When small things came up during the project they helped fix it without charging extra (such as moving a light fixture) Note: our project was well defined and we did not increase the scope.3. They cleaned every day. We were living in our home during the renovation and they did an amazing job of cleaning up the space every single day. The rest of our house was not affected by dust and project debris.Overall this experience was way better than anything we could have hoped for. We would 100% recommend them in a heartbeat and we will be looking for excuses to use them again.
I can’t say enough about the outstanding kitchen renovation done by Andersen Woodworking. Right from the beginning Mark listened to my needs and responded with a beautiful design of the space that included removal of a wall, relocating appliances and the sink, creating and installing custom cabinets and handling all the challenges and surprises that come with remodeling a tiny, older home. The cabinets are flawless, solid, and functional as well as beautifully built. In addition, Mark and his team complex the work in three weeks as promised; they arrived on time every day, kept me updated and cleaned and stowed materials and tools every evening to minimize the inconvenience. My new kitchen is stunning; and the whole renovation experience could not have gone any better
Andersen Woodworking and Remodeling completed a total remodel of my very dated kitchen and it was the best experience.After an extensive check of several vendors I selected the Andersen team because they made it clear my vision was the priority, and they had many ideas and options that showed they understood my style and what was trending in the business. Mark was the point person for my design and contract. He was flexible, honest regarding what would work or might not, and thorough in all aspects. He had a lot of suggestions and good advice all of which I needed and appreciated. He put no pressure on me to sign a contract and was very responsive when I had a question. I was pleasantly surprised about the supply vendors Andersen worked with – for stone, backsplash tile, floors, etc. Their supply partners had extensive high quality product options and provided me excellent customer care and advice on design. They were very patient with the decisions (and multiple visits) I made to look at products and get samples while trying to complement all parts of the kitchen. The actual work could not have gone any better. Matt #1 and Matt #2 were the multi-skilled crew responsible for the build. They were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable and I was impressed with how well they worked together and problem solved. They started on time each day, protected my property, worked efficiently and diligently, and cleaned up after themselves. Each day I received an update on the progress made and next steps. The plumbers and electricians Andersen works with were equally pleasant and considerate. The custom built shaker cabinets and the little perks (lazy susan, roll out spice rack, sliding pull-out drawers, plant shelves, soft closing drawers and doors, etc.) are fantastic. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The work took about 3.5 weeks and was completed on schedule. My new kitchen is exactly what I envisioned. I smile every time I walk into the kitchen. We have been working with Andersen Woodworking and Remodeling since 2014. They have put in a new deck, 9 new custom sliders, a master bath, and, most recently, our kitchen. The entire crew is excellent- they are on time, detail oriented, and clean. Mark (the owner), both Matts, and Michael are all easy to work with and offer quality work at a reasonable price (considering). Mark worked with us to custom build all the cabinets in our mid century contemporary. He paid attention to every detail and we are very happy with the outcome. We used Andersen to build a custom fireplace surround and mantle. The quality of their work was fantastic. They were easy to work with from getting an initial quote up through instillation. Would definitely recommend and work with them again.
